Position: Desktop Support Technician
Duration: 10-month contract, potential extensions
Location: Wilmington, OH 45177 (First 2 Months in Norwood or Mongomery for training)
Shift: Monday – Friday 8-5
MUST HAVES:
- Previous professional experience in desktop support, IT field services, computer deployment, or a similar technical support role.
- Demonstrated experience deploying or replacing computer equipment as part of a large-scale or coordinated rollout.
- Hands-on experience imaging and preparing computers for end-user deployment.
- Experience working within Active Directory.
- Experience with PDQ, SCCM, Intune, or comparable software/device deployment tools.
- Experience performing user data backup, migration, and transfer during computer replacements.
DAY TO DAY:
We are seeking two experienced, tenured Desktop Support Technicians to support a large-scale technology deployment project at a local health system. This individual will play a key role in the deployment of 700+ computers in preparation for the hospital’s planned May 1, 2027 go-live.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the deployment and replacement of 700+ computers across the Clinton Regional Hospital environment.
- Image, configure, prepare, and deploy computers and associated equipment for end users.
- Assist with large-scale computer refreshes and coordinated technology rollouts.
- Work within Active Directory to support user accounts, computer objects, group memberships, and device-related activities.
- Utilize tools such as PDQ, SCCM, Intune, or similar software deployment and device management platforms.
- Back up and transfer appropriate end-user files and data during computer replacements.
- Deploy and configure wall-mounted computers, including proper cable installation and cable management.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and end-user issues that arise during deployment.
- Accurately document deployments, equipment changes, completed tasks, and outstanding issues.
- Communicate deployment status, issues, risks, and completed work to the appropriate project teams.
