Job Description
Our client is looking for a knowledgeable Desktop Support Technician with a high aptitude for customer service in the Fort Mitchell, KY area. Technicians interface with users both remotely and in person, so customer service skills are as essential as technical skills.
The ideal candidate has hands-on desktop support experience, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair in a Windows-based environment, along with basic network troubleshooting skills and a strong commitment to face-to-face customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide desktop support to users both remotely and in person.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair desktop hardware and software in a Windows-based environment.
- Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting.
- Deliver high-quality, professional customer service in every user interaction.
- Lift and carry heavy equipment and work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years minimum of experience directly in desktop support, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair in a Windows-based environment.
- Basic network troubleshooting skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates located in the Fort Mitchell, KY area.
- 1-2+ years of hands-on desktop work directly supporting customers' computers, including hardware experience.
- Face-to-face customer support experience in an enterprise environment.
- Help desk or remote support experience is helpful as supporting experience.
