Design Project ManagerThe Design Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of design projects within the organization. This role requires a dynamic individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to manage multidisciplinary teams. The Design Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.Duties/Responsibilities:Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of design projects within the organizationManage multidisciplinary teams, ensuring collaboration and communication are effectiveEnsure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budgetMaintain the highest quality standards throughout the project lifecycleServe as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholdersProvide regular updates to clients and stakeholders and address any concerns promptlyCollaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to establish project requirements and objectivesReview client contractsReview client design program requirementsClient invoicing and change managementDesign budgets and design schedulesFinancial reporting and invoicingManage outside design consultants as requiredPermitting due diligenceWeekly client and internal design meetingsEnsure quality of overall designCoordinate and provide technical support during constructionOther duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team membersExcellent collaboration skills to work with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to define project requirementsWorking knowledge of industrial building design and construction is requiredProficient in project management software and toolsAbility to analyze and solve complex problems with innovative solutionsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelinesExperience in budget management and resource allocationProven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a teamEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, architecture, or a related fieldPE or NCARB certification is preferredLEED Accreditation preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the design or construction industryPreferred experience working in the food and/or logistics industries as a manager, architect or engineer.Experience in design budget estimating and managementExperience project invoicing and trackingManagement of design schedulesSkilled in project meeting planning, hosting and documentationFamiliar with the site and building permitting processFamiliarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar is a plusTravel Requirements:Flexibility to travel on short notice for urgent business needs, to attend meetings, trainings, and events.Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips.Compliance with company travel policies and procedures.Physical Requirements:Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.Ability to use a computer, phone, printer, scanner, and other office equipment.Visual acuity for detailed work and computer useAbility to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds of files, documents, and materials.About Stellar:Competitive pay based on experienceRemote & hybrid work options for many positionsPaid Time Off – accrue 15 days (120 hours) within first year of servicePaid holidaysMedical, dental, and vision insurance optionsTax-advantaged accounts (HSA, FSA, Dependent Care FSA)Company-paid life and disability insurance401(k) – company match with immediate vestingStellar, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, is a fully integrated firm focusing on design, construction, architecture, engineering, and mechanical services worldwide for over 30 years.
