Design Project EngineerEngineering/DesignHouston, TX • Full-Time/RegularPosition SummaryResponsible for the preconstruction process of design-build and design-assist projects. Manages project design and detailing schedule, monitors design development and detailing progress, and manages the financial aspects of the design contract to deliver high-quality projects within the prescribed time frames and costs.Position DetailsManages small-scale design-build and design-assist projects and/or internal facing phases of larger-scale projects. Ensures the delivery of high-quality projects within the prescribed time frames.Manages the input and output of accurate project data in various corporate and project tracking systems.Develops and manages design schedules. Interfaces directly with other disciplines, contractors, architects, and project team members.Assists in contract review process for contracts between the company and customers and/or subconsultants.Manages the design process by coordinating with the engineering, detailing, and VDC teams in construction document development.
Assists in determining the most efficient methods and solutions for complex engineering problems.Assists in plan and specification analysis to determine clear and consistent interpretations of construction documents.Manages the design QA/QC process.Provides basic scoping for cost impact studies or design optimizations.
