Design Manager - Water/Wastewater

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to support our water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The primary responsibility will be to deliver projects for our local municipal clients in the DMV. Secondarily, there will be opportunities to help deliver design-build projects as they are won. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design of The Design Manager will lead the scoping, planning, and delivery of our projects including the quality and financial performance of the design team.

Additional Responsibilities:

  Lead and manage teams through all phases of design planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract.

  Manage and coordinate between multi-disciplinary teams for a wholistic delivery of design deliveries.

  Must be highly organized with attention to detail.

  Interface with clients on multi-disciplinary design decisions.

  Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of the project manager, clients, and key stakeholders, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs' business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management.

  Contribute to the development of the Water Market Strategy that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients.

  Demonstrate leadership by example with integrity and candor and in support of Jacobs Culture of Caring work environment.

  Experience with collaborative delivery models such as Design Build, Design for Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build is a plus.

  BS or MS Degree in Engineering or other engineering discipline with a focus on water/wastewater systems

  n

• n

  Minimum 8 years engineering experience, with at least 3 years managing multidiscipline design teams.

• n

  Construction background is applicable.

  n
n

Ideally, here's what you'll also have:

  PE License or ability to obtain

  Experience with Design-Build and/or EPC projects.
