Design Manager/ Design Lead in Nationwide

Our client, a prominent player in the water industry, is currently seeking an experienced Design Manager/Design Lead to join their team, focusing on Yorkshire Water Wastewater Non Infra AMP8 projects. This is a contract-based position offering full remote work, allowing you to contribute effectively from anywhere. The role is part-time, requiring commitment for 3 days a week and falls inside IR35 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and managing the design phase of wastewater non-infra projects under the AMP8 framework.
nOverseeing the preparation and delivery of high-quality civil engineering designs.
nEnsuring designs comply with Yorkshire Water standards and regulatory requirements.
nCollaborating with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
nConducting design reviews and providing technical guidance to team members.
nManaging project timelines and ensuring deliverables are met within the specified timeframe.
nImplementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project delivery.
nMaintaining documentation and records in line with industry standards and company policies.

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in civil engineering design, particularly within the water sector.
nStrong understanding of wastewater systems and non-infrastructure projects.
nProficiency in relevant design software and tools.
nExcellent leadership and team management skills.
nStrong communication and interpersonal abilities.
nAbility to work independently and manage projects remotely.
nUnderstanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
nCivil engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
