Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer - Brake Systems
Location: Wyoming, MN
Onsite preferred, Hybrid/REMOTE considered
Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in brake system or component design to support the development, validation, and release of brake components for off-road vehicle applications. This role involves component design, engineering analysis, product validation, manufacturing support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, durable products.
Required / Mandatory Skills:

• Mechanical design engineering experience with subsystem or component design
• Experience designing brake components or brake systems
• Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling tools
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Experience with FMEA and dimensional tolerance stack-up analysis
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
• Experience using 3D CAD software (preferred experience with a leading parametric CAD platform)
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools preferred
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and component development
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems preferred
• Understanding of fit and finish principles
• Demonstrated ability to work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and supplier teams
