Design EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a hands on Design Engineer to develop, model, and refine mechanical components and assemblies from concept through production.

The role focuses on creating robust, manufacturable designs using SolidWorks, collaborating with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers), and supporting prototyping, testing, and product release activities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks and produce accurate 2D production drawings and BOMs.Translate product requirements into manufacturable designs that meet cost, performance, and reliability targets.Perform tolerance analysis, design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and incorporate feedback from testing and production.Support prototyping and testing activities, troubleshoot issues, and iterate designs based on test results and stakeholder feedback.Participate in design reviews, maintain technical documentation, and ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and specifications.Collaborate with purchasing and suppliers to select components and materials, provide fabrication instructions, and resolve manufacturing issues.Identify opportunities to optimize designs for cost, weight, durability, and ease of manufacture.Mentor junior designers and share best practices for modeling, documentation, and version control.QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of experience in a design engineering role, demonstrating ownership of product design from concept to production.Proven proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assembly design, and 2D drawing creation (required).Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, injection molding, machining, fastening) and design for manufacturability principles.Familiarity with CAD workflows and other CAD tools is a plus (nice-to-have).Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.Strong communication and teamwork skills; experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers.BenefitsHealth, Dental, Vision, PTO, etc.
