- Perform system design, development, and engineering release of structural frame components and assemblies.
- Execute work plans to achieve component- and system-level functional objectives.
- Ensure the on-time delivery of components and systems from initial concept through vehicle launch.
- Monitor project progress using key performance indicators (KPIs) and C/W/I efficiency.
- Perform component design and FMEA activities.
- Conduct engineering analysis using CAE tools.
- Develop and manage vehicle packaging using NX.
- Ensure model and drawing integrity using Teamcenter.
- Develop and maintain Product Assurance Plans (PAP).
- Develop and maintain engineering bills of material (EBOM/CODEP).
- Provide engineering support during vehicle and component builds.
- Support fastened joint design and assembly torque development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional support groups, including NVH, Vehicle Integration, Stress Lab, Safety, and Durability, to complete validation and testing activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2 years of engineering experience in a product release environment.
- Intermediate-level design/development engineering experience with frame or chassis structural components.
- Self-starter with strong leadership and communication skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of high-strength steels, weld parameters, and GD&T.
- 1+ year of frame or structural chassis component engineering experience.
- Experience with UG NX and Teamcenter.
- DFSS Green or Black Belt.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Computer proficiency, including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and database applications.
