Onsite Full Time Engineering

  • Design and release brake control modules and brackets, owning all deliverables associated with the systems
  • Guide supplier partners through the Ford Global Product Development System process
  • Perform Failure Mode Avoidance and Functional Safety analyses
  • Establish requirements for advanced brake control systems and emerging technologies with the chassis controls foundation team
  • Coordinate with Electrical, Powertrain, and Vehicle Program teams to define and support vehicle interfaces
  • Support vehicle testing, rig testing, and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulations
  • Manage system quality, cost, and timing to ensure high-quality program deliverables
  • Manage product release CAD and BOM structures, assembly positioning, and mass attribute analysis
  • Facilitate supplier data integration and develop CAD studies to drive design improvements
  • Complete FMVSS documentation and compliance for brake-control safety systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline, or equivalent qualification
  • 4 years of design or development experience in chassis or powertrain controls
  • Experience with FMEA and related Failure Mode Avoidance processes
  • Familiarity with vehicle network communication (CAN)
  • Ability to learn new tools, troubleshoot, and fix vehicle problems
  • Experience in supplier management and cost negotiation
  • Familiarity with computer-aided design systems, including TeamCenter and 3DX
  • Experience with complex system analysis tools and methods
  • Experience with problem-solving methods
  • Experience with software and electrical interfaces
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
