Salary range: The salary range for this position is $325,000-$500,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.

Position description

The University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology, is recruiting for two academic dermatologists in the Clinical X series or Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level based on experience and qualifications. These positions are for general medical dermatologists.

Expectations of the Clinical X series: engage in teaching, research, service, and clinical work.

Expectations of the HSCP series: primarily clinical and include teaching, service, and scholarly/creative activity.

Additionally, based on the qualifications and experience a candidate may be considered for departmental directorships.

The appointments may be made up to 100%.

Positions are in greater Sacramento, California. The Department of Dermatology is a major clinical, research, teaching department in the School of Medicine. Faculty are engaged in multiple collaborations with other Schools and UC Davis campus departments, research centers, clinical centers, and primary care networks. Positions require flexibility in local job locations in addition to the Department of Dermatology: Veterans Administration, UCD Medical Center Campus, and other community centers.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD, board-eligible, board-certified in dermatology at time of starting employment, eligible for medical licensure in CA.
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency.
• Demonstrated proficiency in teaching students and housestaff.
• Service including committees, leadership, and community outreach.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a diverse environment.
• Ability to adhere to policies and procedures, and leadership experience.

• Selected candidates will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching, research, and university service.
