Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination.
  • Provide consultative services.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical and surgical care to patients of all ages.
  • Teach and supervise dermatology residents and rotating medical students.
  • Be involved in medical education and research.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Active involvement in at least 100 Dermatology procedures/cases in the last 24 months.
  • Successful completion of a hospital-affiliated residency in Dermatology of at least 4 years' duration (transitional year + 3 years' dermatology residency) accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training.
