Metropolis Dermatology is a growing, physician-led practice with five locations across California: Downtown Los Angeles, Brentwood, Pasadena, Costa Mesa, and San Jose. We provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology supported by experienced clinical and administrative teams.

Role Description

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible dermatologist to join our growing San Jose practice. This is a full-time, four-day-per-week, on‑site position offering a balanced mix of medical and cosmetic dermatology.

The dermatologist will evaluate and treat a broad range of skin, hair, and nail conditions; perform skin examinations and office‑based procedures; provide preventive counseling and follow‑up care; and review relevant laboratory and pathology results. The physician will also work closely with the clinical team to support efficient workflow, clear communication, and an excellent patient experience.

Cosmetic experience is welcomed but not required. We provide hands‑on training and mentorship in lasers, energy‑based devices, injectables, and cosmetic treatment planning. The position also offers meaningful opportunities to develop programs, mentor colleagues, help shape the culture of the San Jose practice, and grow into clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency
• Board certification or board eligibility in dermatology
• Active or attainable California medical license in good standing
• Strong clinical skills across general medical and procedural dermatology
• Interest in cosmetic dermatology and willingness to participate in additional training
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Collaborative, patient‑centered approach to care
• Commitment to evidence‑based medicine, ethical practice, and continued professional growth
• Comfort working with electronic health records and evolving clinical technologies
