Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Dermatologist to join their innovative health care leader and multi-specialty group practice. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients requiring specialized dermatological care. The Dermatologist will work collaboratively within a team-based model, partnering with primary and specialty care providers to deliver high-quality, evidence-based medicine to a diverse and growing patient population in eastern Massachusetts.

  • Delivering care for adult and pediatric patients at 28 practice locations in eastern Massachusetts
  • Team of providers (physicians, AP/NPs and ancillary clinicians) works collaboratively with a value-based philosophy
  • Practice medicine autonomously in an ambulatory setting partnering with primary care

Responsibilities

  • Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions
  • Develop and implement a plan of care for these patients, as well as prescribe medications, exercises and/or other treatments
  • Collaborates with the clinical and administrative teams in the management of patient care
  • Maintaining continuity of care through the exchange of information with outside health and social agencies
  • Serves as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists such as general surgeons
  • Consults with primary care providers on issues related to patient care
  • Teaches and counsels individuals and groups with regard to specific health care needs
  • Serves as an educator in areas of specialization
  • Participates in the development of health education programs

Compensation

  • Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $358,000 - $701,500
  • Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus
  • Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Dermatology
  • Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations
  • Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty
