Derivatives Associate AttorneyDirect Counsel is seeking a Derivatives Associate to join a prestigious law firm with a rapidly growing, market-leading Financial Services practice in New York.The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working on derivatives transactions at a financial institution or law firm. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team that represents commercial and investment banks on a broad range of derivative matters involving hedge funds, private equity funds, and registered investment companies.Key Responsibilities:Draft and negotiate documentation for complex, highly structured, and bespoke derivatives transactionsManage client relationships effectively and help drive transactions forward independentlyWork closely with a collaborative team of attorneys on sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environmentQualifications:J.D. from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the New York BarStrong experience in derivatives work and familiarity with a variety of derivative structuresExcellent drafting skills and the ability to handle sophisticated matters with minimal supervisionCompensation:The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $260,000 to $390,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
