Responsibilities:Program Managers are concerned with the overall planning, direction and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives which have great significance to the activities and agency's needsPrograms are typically large, multi-year efforts divided into several sub-programs/tasksProgram Managers are also responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short- and long-range plansThis includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; and defining and negotiating with activity and agency personnel for necessary resourcesEstablishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks for the Program ManagerQualifications:Bachelor's degree in any technical or managerial discipline with a minimum of 10 years professional experience in program/project managementPMP or Lean Six Sigma green belt (highly desired)Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groupsStrong communication, organizational, creative, analytical and problem solving, interpersonal and presentation skillsWorking knowledge of FAR and DFARS - Familiarity with IT for NAVSEA (compliance)Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quicklyAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsFamiliarity with IT for NAVSEA (compliance)
