This is a newly created position that offers a unique opportunity to build internal capacity, shape organizational culture, and support the City's workforce across all departments.
A central focus of this role is leading the City's Training and Development function in identifying, developing, and delivering training programs that align with the City's mission, vision, and values, while also supporting supervisory professional development and partnering with external vendors on specialized training initiatives. The Deputy Director serves as the point of contact for the HR department in the absence of the Director, and assists with the management of the City's Risk Management programs.
