This position is located in the Criminal Division, Information Technology Management (ITM) unit. The Criminal Division is seeking an experienced IT manager to serve as the Deputy Chief Information Officer. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer/Director of ITM and will supervise the IT operations for the Division through managers over critical portfolios such as development, litigation support, and records management.

To qualify for the GS-15 level, applicants must have one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-14 grade level.

Examples of specialized experience must include duties such as:

  • leading IT project teams or programs in areas such as advanced systems software, hardware development or implementation efforts, cloud computing, or cybersecurity
  • applying agile or agile-like project management principles to large scale, complex IT projects
  • communicating technical IT issues in business terms to management and leadership

In addition to specialized experience, applicants must also demonstrate proficiency in the following competencies:
