Overview
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience every visit. A Department Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to ensure quality, service, and cleanliness for customers.
Responsibilities
Department Managers perform planning for each shift, monitor performance during the shift, take action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards, monitor safety, security, and profitability, and communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare him or her to run a great shift.
Department Managers may also be responsible for meeting targets during their shifts and for helping their assigned Departments meet their goals.
Department Duties
- People Department – hiring, training, scheduling, and celebrating team members
- Guest Department – hospitality, speed of service, and delivery experience for customers
- Kitchen Department – quality control including inventory, truck orders, food safety, and food quality

Qualifications
Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within restaurant, retail, or hospitality environments.
The ideal candidate is a positive team player with a flexible schedule who enjoys working in a fast‑paced McDonald’s environment.
Applicants must be 18 years or older.
Wages and Benefits
Health Care: ACA compliant, employees eligible after one year of full‑time service.
Wages: $17‑$21 hourly, based on experience and availability.
Colorado Paid Sick Leave or Paid Time Off.
