Location: 2770 Gateway Street, Springfield, OR 97477
Salary: $18.00 – $27.40 per hour

Department Manager Responsibilities

  • General Oversight
    • Assist the General Manager in overall restaurant operations.
    • Supervise all food and beverage departments on a shift‑by‑shift basis.
    • Ensure a safe environment and improve profitability through revenue and labor management.
  • Team Management
    • Staffing, succession planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training and ongoing development of department team members.
    • Create schedules within budgeted labor guidelines.
    • Develop incentive programs, contests, and performance feedback.
    • Administer merit increase process and performance management.
    • Provide coaching, training, and guest experience management.
  • Quality Operations
    • Ensure adherence to new food and bar product rollouts.
    • Maintain recipe adherence, portion control and inventory accuracy.
    • Communicate opportunities and issues to the department and management team.
    • Handle guest comments and quality complaints.
    • Operate the department in compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Maintain equipment and report repairs.
  • Sales and Profitability
    • Manage overall food and beverage costs and labor results.
    • Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular audits.
    • Analyze P&L statements and create action plans for improvement.
    • Implement sales building incentives and contests.
  • Hospitality Management
    • Assist the General Manager with local restaurant marketing.
    • Implement sales incentives for the dining room service team.
    • Complete other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience.
  • Strong commitment to a fast‑paced environment with wings, beer, and sports.
  • Team‑focused leadership and desire to develop a high‑performing team.
  • Open availability, including late nights and weekends.
  • Highly motivated, results‑driven, with strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and enforce company policies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license; satisfactory background check; ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Completion of Buffalo Wild Wings Management Certification program.
