Job Description
Position: Department Manager in Training. Ideal candidates have prior Assistant Manager or long‑term Shift Leader experience. Background in quick‑service restaurants, hospitality or retail is strongly desired. Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities
- Lead shifts as a Shift Leader to ensure customers receive fast, accurate, and friendly service.
- Manage assigned systems, set goals, delegate tasks, motivate teams, and follow up on tasks.
- Create action plans to improve results and train restaurant employees.
- Lead one of the three Department Managers in the restaurant.
- Guest Service Department Manager: Ensure crew and managers deliver a great customer experience; execute LTOs, train service staff, execute community initiatives, maintain cleanliness, and plan equipment maintenance.
- Kitchen Department Manager: Ensure quality food delivery, food safety, manage food cost, complete inventory counts, truck orders, train kitchen staff, maintain cleanliness, and plan equipment maintenance.
- People Department Manager: Interview, hire, onboard, retain, schedule, train crew and managers, execute monthly FUN calendar, promote positive culture, maintain cleanliness, and plan equipment maintenance.
- Take action first: Lead employee training, food safety, and inventory management.
- Be results oriented: Delegate tasks effectively and report results.
- Support the General Manager to achieve restaurant performance and quality standards in your department.
- Partner with the restaurant team to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Previous managerial experience in a restaurant, retail or hospitality environment.
- Commitment to excellence and safety.
- Strong customer service and support focus.
- Effective communication skills and anticipation of customer needs.
- Ability to provide solutions and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Flexible schedule and a passion for working in the fast‑paced McDonald’s environment.
