Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.What are we looking for?The Geotechnical Engineering Department Manager is responsible for the overall management of a profit center including: planning growth, profitability, cost control, employee development, quality control and client relations within Geotechnical Department.What you'll do:Direct and execute one or all of the following geotechnical project assignments but not limited to field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation and report technical reviewProvide quality control review of proposals and reports and direct operations in a manner to consistently meet commitments to the clientsActively participate in business development and marketing efforts while establishing and maintaining client relationships related to technical aspects of our client assignmentsResponsible for the mentoring and training of junior professional staff professionalsActively participate in relationship building with professional and technical organizationsMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from accredited engineering / ABET school required5+ years' of leadership, management, and/or engineering project management experience is requiredFlorida Professional Engineer (P.E.) Registration is requiredMust be customer focused and quality drivenEffective communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are requiredThe ability to read and understand work plans is requiredValid Driver's License and reliable driving record requiredPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering is preferredICC, NICET and/or ACI Certifications are a plusP&L, and basic accounting experience is preferredSales, marketing, and client management experience preferredPrior personnel management, hiring and training experience preferredIntertek: Total Quality.
