Job Location: 845 East Ave – Chico, CA 95926. Salary: $22.10 - $25.75 per hour. This position covers the Heart of House, Bar, and Hospitality departments of a Buffalo Wild Wings location on a shift‑by‑shift basis.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Heart of House (HOH) area, manage all food and product matters, staff planning, and team development; maintain a safe environment and improve profitability.
- Oversee the Bar Department, manage beverage inventory, order supplies, and comply with Responsible Alcohol Service (RAS); train and motivate bartenders and bar servers.
- Supervise the Hospitality (dining room) area, handle team planning and development, and ensure a safe environment.
- Staffing and succession planning: recruit, interview, hire, orient, and train department team members; develop action and development plans.
- Create and manage weekly department schedules within budgeted labor guidelines.
- Develop and implement incentive programs and contests; motivate team participation in company promotions.
- Provide timely performance feedback, conduct appraisals, and administer merit increases.
- Coach the General Manager and other managers on performance management procedures.
- Coordinate with other Department Managers on hiring decisions and growth opportunities.
- Ensure all team members maintain required certifications and permits.
- Use data from GEM, QSCs, audits, and P&L to identify problems and create action plans.
- Maintain department equipment, report repairs, and ensure timely completion.
- Adhere to food safety and health regulations, and board of health standards.
- Monitor and control food, bar, and hospitality costs, labor results, inventory levels, and waste.
- Create monthly financial projections and address cost variances.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience.
- Experience managing a full bar and knowledge of beverage inventory.
- Valid high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.
- Background check clearance and ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Completion of Buffalo Wild Wings Management Certification program.
- Strong organizational, communication, and written skills; proficiency with basic math.
- Highly motivated, self‑directed, results‑driven, and able to manage multiple priorities.
