Department Chair - Dermatology

Job Summary

Founding Department Chair of Dermatology – Creighton University School of Medicine and CHI Health are recruiting a leader to build a vibrant academic program, expand clinical services, develop research, and grow a residency program within a large integrated health system.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and growth of a Department of Dermatology across clinical enterprise, residency education, and research.
• Collaborate with faculty and system leaders to design and implement a system-wide dermatology program, including outpatient clinics and MOHS surgery laboratories.
• Educate residents, medical students, fellows, and community clinicians through didactic and clinical teaching.
• Conduct and support collaborative research with faculty within CommonSpirit Health and Creighton University School of Medicine.
• Serve as an academic and business leader, communicating vision and strategy to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Dermatology or a relevant subspecialty.
• Rank of Associate Professor or Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine.
• Demonstrated clinical and academic leadership experience in an academic medical setting.
• Experience developing, managing, or overseeing residency or fellowship programs is an advantage.

Benefits

• Competitive salary range $650,000 - $900,000 per year.
