We are hiring a Dentist for one of our clients in Mexia, TX .
Job Description
Contractor shall provide the following service(s) to patients of the Facility. The dentist performs various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Dental Director.
- Dentist must be proficient in computers/electronic health records.
- The Dentist is responsible for providing dental services for individuals living at the Supported Living Center and certain identified individuals living in community-based settings, including advanced dental care and treatment to elevate the oral hygiene of all individuals.
- The Dentist is responsible to implement best and safe practices in treatment.
- Provide timely, and accurate charting of clinical encounters using our electronic medical and dental records of the residents with intellectual disabilities.
- Written treatment plan with justification of irreversible dental treatments.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must have good communication and organizational skills, and be able to present information.
- Experience with digital dentistry.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, CMS Standards, MSSLC Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a dentist by the State of Texas with no restrictions
- Must have current unrestricted registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA)
- Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI#)
- Must submit to HHSC required drug test
- Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting
- Must complete facility and HHSC required training
- Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements
- Must abide by staffing agency and MSSLC's attendance and leave policy
- Must abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC and MSSLC.
License, Certification, Or Registration Required
- Current and unrestricted license to practice Dentistry with the State of Texas through TDLR
- Current and unrestricted registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency
- Must be certified by the American Heart Association BLS in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain that certification while providing services. Copies of CPR certifications must be kept on file.
- All certifications must be current and remain as such while providing services at state Support Living Center.
Assigned Schedule
- 4 Day/10-hour day schedule.
- *Tuesday-Friday schedule after required training.
- No after hour call.
