Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Dentist role based in Kansas City, MO. The Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative care, extractions, and preventative services for patients of all ages. Responsibilities include interpreting radiographs, performing routine and complex dental procedures, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record. The role involves collaborating with dental hygienists, assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. The Dentist will also participate in patient education, quality improvement initiatives, and may support community or school-based programs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Current Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school and an active, unrestricted license to practice dentistry (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Missouri.
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative dentistry, preventative care, and basic oral surgery, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Experience or strong interest in community health, public health dentistry, or serving diverse and underserved populations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting, respectful relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage a full patient schedule while maintaining high standards of care and documentation.
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn electronic health record systems and follow clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines.
  • Eligibility for or current DEA registration and CPR/BLS certification; ACLS or PALS is a plus.
  • Willingness to participate in quality improvement, peer review, and continuing education; experience with NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home environments is beneficial.
