Summary Statement

This role involves providing comprehensive dental care and managing a dental clinic at the Department of State.

Essential Functions

  • Perform dental examinations of teeth and surrounding tissues, utilizing x-rays and medical history records to determine treatment needs.
  • Provide dental services including cleaning, scaling, bonding, fillings, extractions, restorations, oral surgery, pulp therapy for root canal treatment, simple bridgework, crown work, partial dentures, installation of space maintainers, and preparation of procedures for orthodontic appliances.
  • Prescribe and dispense medications as required.
  • Administer local anesthesia, analgesia, and sedation.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate clinic staff.
  • Write statistical and/or evaluative reports.
  • Provide emergency dental services to community members.

Job Requirements

  • Possession of a Delaware dentist license or eligibility to obtain one.

Conditions of Hire

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Compliance with the Federal E‑Verify system is required.
  • Pre‑employment drug testing will be conducted upon a conditional offer.
  • A satisfactory criminal background check, which may be paid for by the recruiting agency, is required.
  • All new hires must attend the Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO) on their first day.
