Job Title:

Contract General Dentist

Location:

• Availability at multiple IHS facilities
• -Peach Springs,AZ

Responsibilities:

• -Provide dental services including exams, restorative treatments, oral health education, and preventive care.
• -Diagnose and treat patients within professional scope and IHS standards.
• -Assist in patient care processes, ensuring adherence to safety, infection control, and IHS standards.
• -Complete and maintain patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Dental Record (EDR).
• -Comply with Joint Commission and CMS standards in a culturally competent manner.
• -Participate in quality assurance activities and adhere to IHS and service unit policies.

Qualifications:

• -DMD or DDS from a CODA-accredited institution.
• -Unrestricted any state dental license.
• -Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• -Minimum of 2 years of experience in general dentistry.

Requirements:

• -Background check and character investigation as per the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.
• -Credentialing and fingerprinting required before starting.
• -Ability to work in Remote Areas and travel if necessary, with weather-related travel challenges expected at some locations.

Work Hours:

• -Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with some locations requiring flexibility for longer shifts.
