Dentist Schedule & Contract Details Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Holidays: No holidays required Contract Length: 3-month initial commitment Extension: Strong probability of extension Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to individuals residing in a Supported Living Center, as well as certain individuals receiving services in community-based settings. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, and patient-centered dental services, including advanced dental care and treatment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental services, including:
  • Comprehensive dental examinations
  • Limited and emergency examinations
  • Restorative procedures
  • Simple extractions
  • Crown preparations
  • Denture cases
  • Complete oral rehabilitation in collaboration with an anesthesia provider
• Develop appropriate treatment plans designed to improve and maintain patients' oral health.
• Prepare written treatment plans with clinical justification for irreversible dental procedures.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of all clinical encounters using electronic medical and dental records.
• Provide dental care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while utilizing appropriate clinical judgment and safe treatment practices.
• Collaborate effectively with dental, medical, nursing, anesthesia, and other healthcare professionals.
• Utilize digital dentistry technology and electronic health record systems.
• Maintain organized and accurate patient records.
• Communicate treatment plans and other clinical information clearly and professionally.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong team-oriented approach.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Texas .
• Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration .
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) .
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification , which must remain active throughout the assignment.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic health and dental record systems.
• Experience with digital dentistry.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
