Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dentist in maintaining optimal oral health for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings and oral prophylaxis for patients
- Conduct patient oral health assessments, including charting and periodontal evaluations
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Apply preventive materials such as fluoride and sealants
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist with exams and treatment planning as needed
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene
- Current state Dental Hygienist license
- Certification in CPR/BLS
- Knowledge of dental software and digital charting systems
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with digital X-rays and periodontal therapy
- Familiarity with dental practice management software
- Excellent patient education skills
