Dental AssistantCarabelle Clinic | Full-Time | Non-Exempt Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PMAbout the RolePanCare of Florida is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented Dental Assistant to support patient care and clinical operations within our dental program. In this role, you'll play a key part in creating a positive experience for patients by assisting with clinical procedures, preparing treatment areas, and supporting both patients and providers throughout their visit.If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, care deeply about patient comfort, and are passionate about improving community health — we'd love to meet you.What You'll DoAs a Dental Assistant, you will:Assist dentist during procedures including exams, restorations, extractions, and preventive careTake and record dental and medical history, vital signs, and diagnostic impressionsExpose and develop radiographs following safety and regulatory standardsPerform prophylaxis and fluoride treatments for children under supervisionDeliver patient and parent oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment guidanceApply topical anesthetics as appropriate and delegatedPrepare operatories, equipment, and instruments prior to proceduresClean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and clinical areas following infection-control protocolsAssist with patient scheduling, front desk tasks, and documentation when neededSupport dental outreach efforts or off-site screenings when assignedMaintain inventory, reorder supplies, and ensure equipment is properly maintainedMaintain working knowledge of medical emergencies and assist as neededContribute to smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experienceYou'll Thrive in This Role If You Are…Patient-focused and able to connect well with children and adults A strong multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented A natural team player who values communication and collaborationRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of basic dental procedures, charting, and infection-control protocolsCompetency with radiographs, instrument handling, and sterilization proceduresAbility to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and patient comfortAbility to navigate scheduling software and basic computer systemsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of an accredited dental assistant training program requiredExpanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification strongly preferredExperience in a dental office or clinic setting preferred (new graduates welcome to apply)Physical RequirementsThis role may require:Walking, standing, and sitting for extended periodsUse of hands for fine motor dental tasks and clinical instrumentsAbility to lift up to 20 lbs.
