Democratic Campaign Manager (State Legislature)Opportunity to run a state legislature campaign on Long Island. You will report directly to the candidate and oversee all campaign operations. The campaign will be highly competitive, so we seek a passionate, driven Democratic operative who performs well under pressure and can multitask.An ideal candidate would possess:At least 2 previous campaign cycles of experienceAt least one previous campaign cycle at director or deputy campaign manager positionAt least one previous campaign cycle focused on field/direct voter contactExcellent communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsProven volunteer and staff management abilitiesVery high level of comfort analyzing data and working with databasesAbility to work and adapt to fast-paced campaign environmentKnowledge of NGP and VANResponsibilities include:Supervise staff, volunteers, and internsCreate and manage budget for the campaign with outside fundraising consultantCreate and manage field/voter contact strategy with Field DirectorRecruit campaign volunteers prior to hiring of Field DirectorDevelop communications strategy, draft and release content in coordination with outside political consultantsRun regular campaign meetings with the candidate, staff, and volunteersPlan and execute visibility events with the candidateOversee the candidate's schedule, especially during the summer and fall.
