The Demand Manager is responsible for establishing, structuring, and leading the Demand Management function for the full Water & Waste business, including Linefit (OEM), Retrofit, Spares, and Repair/MRO activities.
This position owns the end‑to‑end demand process, ensuring the consolidation, validation, and governance of a single, reliable, unconstrained Demand Plan over a 3‑5 year horizon, used as the primary input for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Supply Chain, Industrial Planning, and Finance.
The role operates in a highly cross‑functional environment, acting as a business integrator between Sales, Programs, Customer Support & Services, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to enable aligned, data‑driven decision making.
Responsibilities
- Demand Ownership & Business Scope
- Consolidate and manage all demand streams for the business:
- OEM / Linefit
- Retrofit
- Spares
- Repairs / Services (MRO)
- Internal demand (development, qualification, prototypes, tests)
- Build and maintain a single Demand Plan combining firm orders and forecasts.
- Ensure coherence between demand, revenue outlook, industrial assumptions, and financial targets.
- Consolidate and manage all demand streams for the business:
- Process Creation & Governance
- Design, deploy, and continuously improve the Demand Management process, aligned with Safran S&OP standards.
- Define demand rules, models, assumptions, and planning horizons.
- Establish formal Demand Review governance, cadence, and deliverables.
- Forecasting & Scenario Management
- Develop forecasting models using quantitative and qualitative inputs.
- Build and maintain Low / Medium / High demand scenarios.
- Analyze forecast accuracy, stability, and bias; implement corrective actions.
- Proactively challenge commercial and program assumptions to protect business robustness.
- S&OP & Cross Functional Integration
- Prepare and facilitate monthly Demand Reviews.
- Ensure formal validation and release of the Demand Plan as S&OP input.
- Support Supply Reviews and Executive S&OP discussions with clear analytics and scenarios.
- Data Integrity & Systems
- Ensure demand data consistency across ERP, CRM, and planning tools.
- Define and maintain demand master data and parameters.
- Ensure alignment between Demand Plan, ERP loading logic, and downstream material planning (including spares and MRO specifics).
- Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Define, monitor, and improve Demand KPIs:
- Demand stability
- Forecast accuracy
- Firm demand completeness
- Conduct maturity assessments of demand practices.

Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in Demand Management, S&OP, IBP, Supply Chain, or Business Planning.
- Experience in industrial and aftermarket environments, including Spares and/or MRO.
- Proven experience designing or deploying structured planning processes.
- Experience operating in a cross‑functional, matrix organization.
- Aerospace or complex industrial environment experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP‑driven demand planning (e.g., M3 or equivalent).
- Exposure to regulated or customer‑critical environments.
- International business experience.
- Advanced Excel proficiency; BI tools (e.g., Power BI) a plus.
