In this role, you will safely operate Sprinter vans and 26ft box trucks, delivering critical temperature-sensitive, medical supply, and airport expedited freight across the region. Key Responsibilities
- Route Operations: Safely drive Sprinter vans and 26ft box trucks to perform middle- and final-mile deliveries.
- Freight Handling: Load, unload, and secure freight (including un-palletized bulky items and small parcels) using manual/electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and ratchet/e-straps.
- Technology & Compliance: Perform digital order processing, track Hours of Service (HOS) via tablet/smartphone ELD applications, and complete digital training modules.
- Safety & Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and strictly adhere to DOT regulations.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience (Box Truck, Sprinter Van, or similar commercial vehicles).
- Licensing: Valid driver's license (Class D minimum; CDL Class B with Airbrake Endorsement preferred ).
- Credentials: Valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required for regional access.
- Medical Certification: Valid DOT Medical Card and Long Form (expiration date at least 30 days out).
- MVR / Safety Record: Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations or at-fault accidents within the past 3 years.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs, maneuver heavy cargo, and stand, crouch, or kneel during loading/unloading.
- Certifications: Forklift experience/certification and Smith System driving certification preferred.
