Most data center roles ask you to follow the playbook. This one asks you to write it.

A global data center developer and operator, known for high performance, low ego and getting things done, is building out its Delivery function across the Americas. It has moved faster than planned. Rather than wait for pilots, its leadership chose to get moving, and Austin is where they now need a Delivery Director to take ownership.

This is not a role for someone who wants a defined lane and a manual for day three. There isn't one. You'll run the work, shape how delivery operates in the region, and have real latitude to influence the programme for the long term.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead hyperscale data center delivery in Austin, owning the day-to-day so the VP of Delivery can focus on the region and the pipeline.
• Act as the eyes and ears on site. Push information to stakeholders before anyone has to ask for it.
• Agree with cross-functional partners what they need to see, where and how often, and then own that ecosystem.
• Bring structure to the commissioning, programme and resourcing challenges that come with building at speed.
• Contribute to a standardised delivery approach that will be rolled out across the portfolio.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• A track record of delivering data centers at hyperscale capacity. That doesn't mean a flawless record. We want people who have been tested and can talk honestly about what they learnt.
• A background that grew up through the trades or the general contractor side.
• A working understanding of the development lifecycle: land, power, utilities, permitting, AHJs and municipalities.
• Experience as a senior construction manager or senior project manager, or as a PM ready for the step up who hasn't yet been given the chance.

COMPENSATION

Salary, up to $225,000 (Genuinely negotiable)

Bonus 20% (This could be pushed a little higher)
