Defense Litigation AttorneyWe are seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Attorney to join our Buffalo office. The ideal candidate is a skilled litigator who is ready to handle a diverse caseload in defense matters. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated cases across multiple practice areas in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.Key responsibilities include managing all aspects of defense litigation cases from inception through trial preparation, conducting fact investigations, drafting pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and trial briefs, taking and defending depositions and participating in other discovery activities, appearing in court for arguments, conferences, hearings, and trials, preparing and trying cases before juries and judges, providing strategic legal advice and counsel to clients, collaborating with partners and associates on complex matters, maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service, and contributing to business development efforts and firm initiatives.Practice areas will focus on defense litigation, including but not limited to professional liability, construction litigation, insurance defense, products liability, general liability, and other complex civil defense matters.Qualifications include a J.D.

from an accredited law school and active admission to the New York State Bar, 3+ years of civil defense litigation experience (5+ years preferred), experience in professional liability, construction, insurance defense, or products liability is highly desirable, excellent written and oral advocacy skills, strong analytical, negotiation, and case management abilities, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.Benefits include unlimited PTO, 401k, hybrid schedule, and no billable hour minimum.
