This is a great opportunity for dependable individuals who enjoy hands-on production work and want to build a career in a manufacturing environment.Job SummaryThe Defect Saw Operator is responsible for cutting wood sticks to length and notching according to company production standards. This position operates guarded saw equipment and ensures completed pieces are properly prepared and transferred to the next stage of production.ResponsibilitiesOperate guarded saw equipment safely and efficiently.Cut wood sticks to specified lengths according to production requirements.Notch ends of sticks while maintaining quality standards.Inspect completed pieces for accuracy and defects.Place finished pieces onto conveyors feeding into production area.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.Meet production goals while maintaining quality.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years old.Must have reliable transportation.Strong attendance and dependability are required.Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Comfortable operating machinery and performing repetitive tasks.Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the shift.Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.Preferred Experience: Previous manufacturing, machine operation, woodworking, carpentry, construction, or other hands-on production experience is preferred but not required.
