Default Solutions Processing SpecialistAt Regions, the Default Solutions Processing Specialist is responsible for resolving the delinquency status of past due customer accounts either through in-house recovery or through a third party.Primary ResponsibilitiesWorks with customers directly or through outside agencies/councils to resolve account delinquency status while minimizing company interest lossesCollects delinquent paymentsEnsures that files and paperwork are properly and accurately completedContacts outside parties to collect or clarify documentationEnsures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practicesMay assist other associates with questions regarding procedures and policies, etc.May work on more complex projects with assistance and oversight of senior staff and managersThis position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDTwo (2) years of related experienceSkills and CompetenciesAbility to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidanceAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentDetailed orientedProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordStrong customer service skillsStrong organization skillsStrongly Preferred:Collections Experience and / or Experience Reviewing Legal DocumentsStrong Verbal and Written Communication SkillsProximity to Hoover, AL requiredPosition TypeFull timeCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions.
