Default Loan Servicing SpecialistDefault Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant reporting of delinquent, bankrupt, foreclosed, and other defaulted mortgage loans to investors and government agencies, including Ginnie Mae (GNMA), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and Fannie Mae (FNMA). This role ensures adherence to agency guidelines, investor reporting requirements, and regulatory standards while supporting loss mitigation and servicing operations.WHAT YOU'LL DOValidate and transmit default status codes, default reporting events, and claims-related data for GNMA, VA, and FNMA portfoliosReconcile discrepancies between servicing systems and default reporting platforms to ensure accuracy and completenessMonitor and maintain data integrity across all default reporting channelsPartner with servicing, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and claims teams to ensure accurate loan status progressionEnsure compliance with investor and agency timelines and reporting requirementsResearch and resolve reporting exceptions and data variancesInvestigate and clear default reporting rejects in a timely mannerPrepare and support internal audits, investor audits, and agency inquiriesAssist in the development and delivery of internal and external reportingApply and interpret GNMA MBS Guide, VA Servicer Handbook, and FNMA Servicing Guide requirements in daily operationsManage high-volume workflows while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining strong attention to detailWHAT YOU'LL BRINGEducation, Experience, Licensure, and CertificationHigh School diploma or equivalent3+ years of directly related experienceKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWorking knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of mortgage default reportingGood verbal and written communication skillsExtreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and proceduresGSE and Government experience preferredSystem of Record experience preferredWorking knowledge of computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet and Microsoft Outlook experience preferredPay Range: $21.24 - $28.31 HourlyThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
