Decontamination TechnicianPerform housekeeping / decontamination activities in all Radiological Control Areas. Operate various test equipment and machines as needed to perform duties such as high-pressure washers, laundry machines, RP meters, etc… Due to the broad diversity of work activities in the classification, most employees may be required to certify to all Decon specific tasks as directed by the Radiation Protection department. You will report to the site coordinator and be located at your assigned plant.Key Responsibilities:Climb ladders and work at multiple heightsMeet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted accessLift 50 poundsComplete training / certification to operate different equipment including: High pressure sprayers Vacuums Small pendant cranes Hoist Miscellaneous equipmentUnderstand oral and written communications, technical requirements, procedures and directives associated with working at a nuclear plant.
