Decision Support Analyst

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 3 years data analysis and support experience required.

• Specific previous working history with healthcare/hospital-based data required.

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in Strata particularly within the Cost Accounting and Decision Support modules.

• Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Explorer, and PowerPoint.

Job Description

Insight Global is supporting a large healthcare system out of South Carolina in identifying a Decision Support Analyst to join the team. This individual is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and usage of decision support systems within the organization. They will be working with executive leadership and department managers in providing data-driven insights to support strategic advancement and performance improvement, and monitoring productivity.

Responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshoot system issues to ensure the continuing operation and maintenance of the program as well as reporting and new implementation services.

• Coordinate upgrades, maintain databases, write ad hoc reports, and maintain data dashboards used for various systems.

• Support the development of annual cost reports and SHA reports.

• Perform profitability and feasibility analysis on service lines and services.

• Perform trend analysis on volumes and statistical measures

• Work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, physicians, department heads, and members of leadership.

This Decision Support Analyst should have strong data analysis, communication, and project management skills with the ability to transform complex data into knowledge and understanding. This is a remote role, but the candidate should sit on the east coast and have flexibility to travel onsite in South Carolina if ever needed.
