Deburr Technician / Finishing TechnicianNorthern Staffing Services, in partnership with Temprel Inc. of Boyne City, are searching for a skilled Deburr Technician / Finishing Technician. This is a full-time, 40+ Hr/week position.
Pay ranges from $17-$22/Hr depending on experience. Deburr Technician / Finishing Technicians are responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from precision-machined metal parts using various hand and power tools such as drills, Dremels, buffing wheels, and exacto blades. This role also includes cleaning and preparing parts for company transport or customer shipment.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently with a high level of accuracy. This position requires strict adherence to ISO quality standards to ensure consistent part quality and process compliance.Key Responsibilities:Deburr metal parts using hand tools and power tools according to part drawings and specificationsInspect finished parts for sharp edges, burrs, and overall finish qualityRead and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and work instructionsClean and prepare parts for packaging and transportEnsure packaging meets company standards for protection and presentationMaintain sufficient stock of cleaning and finishing suppliesGenerate and maintain a materials request list for purchasingKeep work area organized, clean, and safe at all timesFollow all company safety protocols and PPE requirementsAdhere to ISO 9001 quality standards and company procedures throughout all finishing and packaging tasksQualifications:Prior experience in deburring, finishing, or a similar hands-on manufacturing role preferredAbility to use a variety of hand and power tools with precisionBasic understanding of blueprint reading and part specificationsHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality standardsAbility to follow documented procedures and quality requirementsStrong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
