Manufacturing Deburr LeadmanThe Manufacturing Deburr Leadman is a skilled deburr technician that can lead a team of deburr employees on quality and packaging of all CNC manufactured product at Snyder Industries. Oversees the shipping/receiving department to ensure correct product is shipping to meet on time delivery targets. Works with internal sales team to prioritize product flow through final inspection. Works with internal quality team on non-conformances found at final inspection.
Uses blueprints, ship lists, and computer MRP software to meet customer requirements.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Blueprint reading, GD&T, Excel, ERP systems.Understand manufacturing processes: Turning, Milling, Gear cutting, and Heat treating.Works with Quality Manager on non-conformances found in departmentOversees final tapping operationsPrioritizes product for deburr employees with help with Sales departmentReviews final inspection checklists and visual inspections before packaging productsPerforms visual inspection in accordance with customer specifications and ISO 9001:2015 requirementsUtilizes the ship list and working with production analyst to meet delivery needsPerforms diversified deburring and final inspection dutiesOperates tools and equipment such as hand grinder, Bridgeport mill, polishing station, and tap tablesWorks with engineering team on gauge needs, fixturing, tooling.Works with quality department with calibration needsManages organization of inspection area and raw material warehouseComplies with safety regulations in all aspects of performing job responsibilities.Operates computer and enters inspection dataOther Misc. Deburr/Inspection functionsMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)· Experience and interest in a CNC machining job shop environment· Strong written and verbal communication skills· Attentive to detail; organized· Ability to supervise/lead team· Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment· Recommend: MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)· Recommend: Understanding of raw materials: castings, forgings, bar stock, plate materials· Recommend: Understanding of CNC turning, CNC milling, Heat treat (carburization, quench & tempering, induction hardening, welding), and gear cutting (Shaping & Hobbing)· Recommend: CNC Machining backgroundPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
