Distribution Center Operations AnalystSweetwater, the nation's number one online retailer of music instruments and pro audio gear, is seeking to hire an analytical, detailed, and enthusiastic Distribution Center Operations Analyst to join our growing Analytical team! In this role, you will serve as an embedded operational analytics partner within the fulfillment operation. You will focus on improving labor efficiency, operational visibility, process flow, and execution consistency across inbound, outbound, inventory, FBA fulfillment, and support functions.You will play a critical role in our environment (operating on internally developed systems) where operational visibility, exception identification, and workflow analysis require hands-on operational understanding in addition to analytical capability.
This role supports proactive labor and throughput management, identifies operational constraints and trends, develops reporting and dashboards, and partners with leadership to drive continuous improvementJob ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain operational dashboards, reporting, and KPI visibility across inbound, outbound, inventory, and support functionsAnalyze labor utilization, productivity, throughput, backlog, SLA performance, and operational trends to support leadership decision-makingIdentify operational bottlenecks, exception trends, system gaps, and process inefficienciesPartner with Labor Planning & Operations Leadership to support proactive labor allocation and operational balancingSupport root cause analysis for service failures, delayed orders, inventory discrepancies, and workflow disruptionsCollaborate with Industrial Engineering on process optimization initiatives, workflow studies, and operational improvement effortsDevelop and maintain ad hoc analysis, operational scorecards, and executive summariesQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related fieldAdvanced experience in data analysis, specifically related to fulfillment, distribution, or supply chain operationsExpert knowledge in data tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau etc.)2-4 + years of experience in fulfillment, distribution, or operational analytics environmentsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to turn data into actionable items for business improvementsExcellent attention to detailSweetwater "Ideal" Team-PlayerWOWs The Customer - Deep passion and desire for creating amazing customer & colleague experiencesGets Things Done - Great work ethic and moves with a sense of urgencyObsesses over the Details – committed to paying attention to the detailsDrives Continuous Improvement – Always focusing on effective and efficient work and way to get betterDevelops the Future – committed to pursuit of growing personally & professionally and has a focus on bringing your colleagues along with you on that journeyWe function best as a unified team, so relocation to our state-of-the-art campus in Fort Wayne, IN is required.
