DBA Service Line Manager

Role: DBA Service Line Manager

Location: Folsom, CA (Hybrid)

Job Description:

• Lead and manage end-to-end DBA service delivery operations across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence.
• Provide technical leadership for Oracle database administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident management activities.
• Drive Oracle Cloud and database migration initiatives, including on-premises to cloud transformation programs, ensuring minimal business disruption.
• Manage and support Oracle Exadata platforms, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, patching, and operational stability.
• Oversee ticket, incident, problem, and change management processes while ensuring adherence to SLAs, operational metrics, and customer commitments.
• Lead and mentor DBA teams working across multiple shifts, providing guidance, resource planning, escalation management, and delivery governance.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and successfully deliver database-related projects and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare and present governance reports, operational dashboards, service reviews, risks, and improvement plans to leadership and customer stakeholders.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 to $110,000 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
