Mainframe Z/OS Physical And Logical DB2 Database Administrator (DBA)Location: Albany, NY (First week of work is required to be onsite in Albany, remaining will be remote)Duration: 1 yearWork Authorization: US CitizenJob Description:Responsibilities include all aspects of DB2 DBA on the z/OS platform. Must have a working understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL), JCL, DB2 performance tuning, Database Definition Language (DDL) and all DB2 utilities. Ability to follow existing processes for Change, Incident, Problem, Availability, Service Level and Capacity Management.
Must have working knowledge of DB2 database Backup/Recovery. Review Logical design and provide recommendations. Transform the Logical design model into a Physical design.
Design and prepare application database changes (add new or change existing structure).
