nnThe Walk-In Crisis Worker provides in-person and phone-based assessment, intervention, and support for individuals experiencing psychiatric emergencies, including adults, children, and adolescents. As part of a multidisciplinary crisis team, this role conducts evaluations, coordinates care, engages support systems, and connects clients with appropriate community resources.
nThis full-time position requires the ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments, maintain safety protocols, complete clinical documentation, and collaborate with internal teams and external resources. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally are required.
nnQUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: The position requires an individual to have one of the following:

- A Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Activity Therapies, Counseling, Education, or related fields and 3 years of Mental Health direct care experience. n
- Have a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, nursing, counseling, education or a related field. n
- Be a registered nurse. n
- Have a high school diploma or equivalency and 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other social science and 2 years of experience in public or private human services with 1 year of mental health direct care experience. n
- Have a high school diploma or equivalency and 3 years of mental health direct care experience in public or private human services with employment as a mental health staff person prior January 1, 1992. n
- Be a consumer or a family member who has 1 year of experience as an advocate or leader in a consumers or family group, and has a high school diploma or equivalency. n
- Staff persons employed by a provider who have 5 years' experience as a supervisor of mental health services in a mental health agency prior to January 1, 1992, are exempted from this section. n
- Valid PA Driver's License n
Must possess a working knowledge of the philosophy, concepts, mandates and operations of community health services and other human services agencies. they must have a knowledge of Crisis Intervention techniques and be proficient in writing and verbal communication skills.

- Starting at $33,000 + experience per year (Bachelor's Level) n
