Full Time Day Support Counselor
Hours would range between 7:30 am - 3:30 pm.
Duties And Responsibilities
Direct supervision and implementation of ISP goals for a group of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Assistance and training individuals on activities of daily living/independent living skills. Provides hands-on assistance to individuals in order to complete daily activities. Maintains daily documentation in compliance with all licensing agencies. Provides transportation and supervision on community outings. Applicant may be required to provide morning and evening transportation for program participants. Must assist individuals with self-care (i.e. toileting, hygiene, feeding) as needed.
Minimum Qualification Required
Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is a must. High school diploma or GED required. Strong verbal and written communication is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidate with experience writing therapeutic daily notes and documentation. Medication management certification preferred. CPR and first aid certification. Therapeutic options of Virginia (TOVA) behavior management training preferred. Must have a valid Virginia's driver's license and good driving record. Proof of automobile insurance.
