Day Services AssistantDay Services Assistant | Adult Day Services | Part-Time - Tues and Wed 10a-3p | St Peter, MN.The Day Services Assistant is responsible for providing a positive, stable environment with stimulating activities for Adult Day Services (ADS) clients. This position is responsible for making ADS clients feel comfortable in their environment while supervising activities of daily living, including transferring, ambulation and transportation.Ecumen Pathstone is a campus community offering comprehensive care services. Ecumen Pathstone consists of assisted living, long-term care, rehabilitation care, memory care, adult day services, and independent living. Ecumen also offers homecare and hospice- all within the Mankato, MN area.

10 hours per week. Part Time.Work Location: St. Peter, MNPay: The targeted pay range for this job is $17.50 - $19.75 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.Benefits: Ecumen offers a benefits package to our part-time team members including Sick & Safe Time, a generous 6% 401(k) match, and other well-being resources.Essential Job Responsibilities:Assists the Day Services Supervisor with implementing the daily programming, set-up and implementation of scheduled activities including special outings.Assists clients with personal care including toileting, showers, and meals.

Assists with transfers of all clients requiring assistance. Participates in a team approach to providing individualized quality care.Supervises clients and volunteers in the absence of the Day Services Supervisor. Ensures the safety of all clients and staff in the Day Center by tracking and monitoring the location of each client.Documents progress of clients according to State, Federal and Day Living laws, procedures and policies.Provides opportunities for clients to participate as their abilities allow such as assisting with pushing client wheelchairs to and from special events and assistance with meal preparation in the day center.Reports to Day Services Supervisor any significant observations or changes in client needs or abilities.Assists Day Services Supervisor with cleaning of Day Center to ensure clients are in a well-maintained, clean environment.Performs other duties as assigned.Driving Requirements: Local Travel and Driver's License RequiredMinimum Required Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age or olderAbility to communicate effectively both verbal and writtenAbility to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulationsPreferred Qualifications:High School diploma, GED or equivalentAlzheimer's/Dementia trainingExperience working with SeniorsCertification as Nursing Assistant or Personal Care AttendantEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
