Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Data Center Technician in Carlstadt, NJ. The technician will support day-to-day data center operations by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting server hardware and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include server hardware replacement, equipment installation, cable routing and management, structured cabling, equipment monitoring, basic network troubleshooting, and maintaining an organized and reliable data center environment. The technician will work closely with other technical and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain high standards of availability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with computer or server hardware installation, replacement, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with data center operations and server infrastructure
- Experience with cable management and structured cabling
- Basic understanding of networking and network troubleshooting
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and system-related issues
- Ability to follow technical procedures and document completed work accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong work ethics and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift, move, and install equipment as required
- Reliable transportation to the Carlstadt, NJ site
- English proficiency
- 1+ year of relevant IT, hardware, data center, or technical experience preferred
Bonus Qualifications
- Linux experience
- CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, etc.)
- Mandarin proficiency
- Previous experience working with enterprise server hardware
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Must be available to work night shifts
